Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is located at
the southernmost tip of Maine, encompassing Seavey
Island. The federally-owned island is across the harbor
from Portsmouth, New Hampshire and is close to Kittery,
Maine. PNS employs over 3,900 civilian employees, and
over 80 active duty personnel. Three Coast Guard cutters
also call PNS home.
